PPL(A) Training course

Training according to JAR-FCL 1, subpart C.
Pre-entry Requirements:
  • Medical certificate class 2 according to JAR-FCL 3 (issued by Aero Medical Centre, Prague – for CZ applicant)
  • Minimum 17 years old
  • Gaining of limited radio-operator license
Duration of the training course
Theoretical instructionmin. 80 hours, we recommend e-learning in training centre at a specialist organisation

Flight instructionDual with instructor - 35 flight hours
Solo - 10 flight hours

Note: It is possible to start with the flight instruction after getting through 45% of the theoretical instruction.

Aerobatics

Rating for special purpose according to JAR-FCL 1.017 - aerobatics/ACR
Requirements for applicant:
  • PPL(A) holder
  • Qualified as a pilot in command of a training type of aeroplane
Duration of the training course
Theoretical instruction5 hours
Flight instruction total8 hours 45 minutes
Flight instructionDual with instructor - 8 hours
Solo - 20 minutes
Skill test with examiner - 25 minutes
Duration of the training5 training days
The participant is acquainted with basic aerobatic manoeuvres in the course of the training such as:
  • Spinning
  • Looping, stalled turning
  • Rolling, inverted flight
  • Half-roll and dive out, Immelmann turn, vertical/Cuban eight and their combining into aerobatic sequences.
  • Gaining the qualification is marked into the pilot license.

Training flight with a flight instructor for SPA SEP class rating revalidation according to JAR FCL 1.245(c) (1) (ii) (C)

Requirements for the applicant:
  • Pilot’s SEP class rating holder
  • Without theoretical instructions
Duration of the training
3 flights – 1 hour 20 minutes with instructor
Topical themes
  • precautionary landing
  • forced landing without power
  • slow flight, stalling
  • spin recovery at the incipient and developed stage
  • advance turning

A record of this training will be written into the Logbook.

Night qualification

Training according to JAR-FCL 1.125 (c) – VFR night flight
Requirements for applicant:
  • PPL(A) holder
  • Qualified as a pilot in command on a training type of aeroplane

Flight instruction total6 flight hours 20 minuteses
Flight instructionDual with instructor - 5 flight hours 10 minuteses
Solo - 1 flight hours 10 minuteses / min. 5 full-stop landings

Differences in training to class rating for operating another type of the same class

Training according to JAR-FCL 1.235 (c) (1) for ZLIN aeroplanes.

The training is provided for single-engine piston land aeroplanes which are put to the SEP SPA class. The types in question are just from actual ZLIN AIRCRAFT a.s. production.

The training programme is set up for pilots with no experience with mentioned trade mark.

Requirements for the applicant:
  • The participant is at least PPL(A) holder
  • Valid SEP SPA class rating
Duration of the training with the Z 40 aircraft type series
Theoretical instruction2 hours
Flight instruction total3 flight hours 10 minutes
Flight instructionDual with instructor - 2 flight hours 40 minutes
Solo - 30 flight minutes

For individual judgement of the trained pilot’s experience with other aeroplanes of the Z 40 type series, it’s possible to provide tolerance to the minimum extent of the training.

Single-engine single-pilot aeroplane class rating

Training for SEP SPA - according to JAR-FCL 1.215 (a) (1) to pilot license holder

The RF offers upgrading training in addition to the above-mentioned training programmes. These flights cover, for instance, aerobatic sequences training, cross-country flights and others.
